The Orlando Magic played better in the second half to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 101-85 on Tuesday. Dwight Howard powered the Magic with 22 points and 20 rebounds while point guard Jameer Nelson hit four of five three-point attempts to finish with 17 points.

Six players from Orlando scored in double-digits. The four others were starters Ryan Anderson with 13 points, Jason Richardson with 10 points while JJ Redick had 12 and Earl Clark added 10 points.

Clippers rookie sensation Blake Griffin was limited to 10 points and 12 rebounds. Baron Davis led the Clippers with 25 points while Ike Diogu scored 18 points off the bench.

The Magic trailed at the half, 46-42, shooting a poor 37 percent from the floor in the first half. Things changed in the second half as Orlando played good defense on Griffin, their double teaming defense paying dividends as the Clippers failed to hit baskets on kick outs.

With better ball movement, 25 points in transition and 23 second-chance baskets the Magic outplayed the Clippers from the third quarter onwards. Orlando hit five three-pointers in the fourth quarter to outscore the Clippers 35-20.
